Extended Day Before/After School Program Times: Mornings: 7:00am-start of school
               Afternoons:  end of school-6:00pm Location: Samuel Staples Elementary School
                  Pick up/drop off in Cafeteria

This program will take over for the current Education Connection Proram.
Our Extended Day program is a recreationally based program offering participants 

the opportunity to spend their after school time in a safe,
structured enviornment.  Snack time, homework time/help will be offered as 
well as numerous other recreational activities such as arts and crafts, 
sports,special guests entertainers, optional field trips and much more!

Program Fees:
Fees for the 2007-2008 school year are as follows:
Before School:
7:00-8:30am.........  1st Child       $6.00/day
                            2nd Child       $4.00/day  
                            3rd Child+      $3.00/day

After School:
3:30-6:00pm.........  1st Child     
1.00/day
                            2nd Child     $9.00/day
                            3rd Child+    $7.00/day

Half Day Rate (end of school-6pm)  
0.00/day 1st child,
5/day 2nd child, 
2/ day 3+ child 
 Credit and Refund Policy
To remain consistent with other Park and Recreation programs policies;
A refund or credit will be given only under the following conditions:

--There will be no refunds given under 
5.00; instead a "credit" will be
applied and may be used towards all Parks and Recreation programs.

--When a cancellation/withdrawl occurs less than one week prior to the start of a program, only 50% of the fee can be refunded.  If given more than a week in
advance, a full refund will be given.  The initial registation fee will not
be refunded.

--Requests for a refund for medical, relocation, or personal reasons will
be handled on an individual basis.

--Dismissal due to behavior will not warrant a refund or credit.

--If a child is sick/out of school for more than 3 consecutive days, you will
recieve a 75% refund on the missed days.

--No refunds for last minute cancellations. Late Pick-Ups
 
Snow days, Early Dismissals, and Late Openings
--On days when school is closed, Extended Day is also cancelled.
--On early dismissals due to inclement weather, Exteded day will remain
open on a reduced schedule. Pick up time will be no later than 4pm.
--On late opening morningsm, the Extended Day program will run on sliding 
time.  For instance, if there is an hour delay and school begins at 10:00am, 
Extended Day begins at 8:30.


Registration forms and calendars are available at the Veteran's Park and
Recreation Office. A hard copy and more detailed version of the Extended Day 
manual is available at the P&R Office or at Samuel Staples Elementary School.
