Computer Explorers Camps
TechStars by Computer Explorers are a series of technology classes designed to facilitate STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) learning. The educational materials or equipment that are used in the curriculum came from various sources like Lego Education, MIT Media Lab who emphasize on STEM education and 21st Century Skills. But most importantly, our classes provide a hands-on educational settings to make learning FUN! The following camps will be offered this summer:
Junior Robotics (entering 3rd grade thru 6th grade) July 30-August 2 (Monday-Thursday) from 9:15am-12:15pm at Library Community Room
LEGO Mindstorms presents children with hands-on robotic activities. They will use the familiar LEGO brick to create robots by building around a mini-computer which they can program using computer software. This course teaches both construction concepts and computer programming fundamentals.
Fee $155
Video Animation Gaming (entering 3rd grade thru 6th grade) July30-August 2 (Monday-Thursday) from 1pm-4pm at Library Community Room
Students will be using the software program ‘Scratch’ developed by MIT Media Institute to create animation, music videos, Pac man like video games and more. Creations from this class along with a copy of this software will be sent home so they can continue to have fun!

Crafty Kids Arts & Crafts Camp
Join Easton Parks and Recreation for this summer arts and crafts camp! Projects to be crafted will include but are not limited to beadwork, painting, tie-dye, and much more! Students should wear play clothes and bring a snack to camp daily. Fridays will be tie-dye day so bring white cotton t-shirts, socks pillowcases etc.
Half Day Camp: 9:15am-12:15pm at Toth Park, Fee for each camp is $99.00
Session 1, June 25 - 29: Grades: Entering K-Entering 2
Session 2, July 9 - 13: Grades: Entering 3-Entering 5
Engineering Fundamentals with Lego
Together with Play-Well Technologies, learn how to design and build motorized machines, catapults, pyramids, demolition derby cars, truss and suspension bridges, buildings and other constructions. Explore concepts in physics, mechanical and structural engineering and architecture while playing with your favorite creations. Participants will be given instruction, design challenges and competitions appropriate to their ability. This is a hands-on and minds-on class suitable for LEGO® building system novices to “maniacs.” Returning students will work on new projects and challenges. Limited Enrollment-11 participant’s minimum/24 maximum.
